  • It’s becoming popular as an additional income stream among sign printers with Roland plotter/cutters.

The full version:

Roland is promoting the concept of using your plotter-cutter to produce vinyl shapes for heat-pressing onto garments. This is just a further indication of how sign printers are moving into the textile market.

You’ll need a heat-transfer vinyl from Stanley’s and tools such as squeegees, weeding tools, scalpels, application tape and, of course, a heat press (Staley’s can help you with one of these too).

Roland suggests that there are a number of potential markets for personalised clothing including online market places such as Etsy.

Stanley’s already has customers producing clothing items this way. They can give you all the advice you need to add this potential additional income stream.
